"What's Changed Since Last Month?"

Such an interesting question.

Maybe a better one is: what hasn’t changed since last month?

I launched my website, sharpened my web skills, and figured out what life is all about — or at least this portion of life.

Last month, I was a little disillusioned: I thought my web-design business would bear fruit… I thought it would take off.

To be fair? I had lots of leads from my last job — to me, it was a sure shot.

So I was confident when I launched my site last May. I reached out to everyone who said they wanted a website, and guess how many responded? Zero.

Nothing tells the truth like reality — and guess what? The rent’s still due. So that hurt, because it put so many of my plans on the back burner.

Thankfully! My days in nightlife still hold weight, and I was able to hop back in and pick up some shifts.

What was my biggest takeaway from all this? Websites will pay eventually, but they take time. In the meantime, we gotta do something else.

Right now? I’m ok with that sentiment. Last month? I thought my world was coming to an end — amazing how much can change in 30 days.

And what’s the silver lining in all this? I was able to complete more projects — better projects. I clarified my goals, my direction, and what truly matters for me getting where I need to be.

I also decided to learn Python, build an app called Morning Brief that connects all my todos, and I was even able to completely revamp my personal website and make a site for a friend.

Had my original plans worked out, none of that would have happened!

The difference in perspective from a little more experience is amazing.

A lot more insights and gems transpired too, but… that’s what this blog is for.
